Maithili may soon be added as a language option in the CBSE-conducted CTET, according to local media reports from Bihar. The proposal has reportedly cleared the NCTE stage. If implemented, it would allow Maithili-speaking candidates to take the exam in their mother tongue, improving accessibility and inclusivity for aspirants from Mithilanchal and beyond.
