Delhi’s school system has done what policy wanted: bring more children into classrooms. But UDISE+ 2024–25 data suggests the physical system has not expanded at the same pace. With over 44.9 lakh students across 5,556 schools, the issue is no longer just access. It is whether Delhi’s schools have the space, distribution and design to absorb success without strain.
