A US District Court ruled that Customs and Border Protection unlawfully cancelled a Harvard researcher’s visa, exceeding its authority by basing the decision on suspected smuggling of biological samples. The court found the agency overstepped its jurisdiction, and the researcher, Kseniia Petrova, has since been released and returned to her work.
